We are located in Houston Missouri/Texas County, which is considered the Heart of the Ozarks in southwest Missouri. 

Remax Farm & Homes Realty has been in business for more than 30 years. We are about 1.5 hours from Springfield Mo. about 50 minutes from West Plains in southern Missouri and Rolla in central Missouri.

We have the best of both worlds here in Houston Missouri. We live in a small rural area, with quiet and slow paced living, yet just a short drive to St.Louis or Kansas City.

We offer a great school system, a full service hospital, our technical school offers everything from Office Assistant to Registered Nursing, satillite campus locations for Drury College at Springfield, Walmart Supercenter and numerous shops and resturants. 

Houston is the county seat for Texas County.  Four years ago we opened the new state-of-the-art Texas County Justice Center to house our county business offices.      

 
Texas County has one of the lowest TAX bases you will find. On an average farm of 40 acres with a ranch-style home you should expect to pay somewhere around $600.00 to $900.00 per year.  Yes, that is the ANNUAL property tax.(taxes subject to change)
